About MNASCA

The Minnesota Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (MNASCA) is a statewide, non-profit trade association representing the interests of ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in Minnesota. We play a key role in ensuring Minnesota’s ASCs can continue to provide safe, affordable, and advanced surgical to patients.

Our Mission

MNASCA is committed to ensuring that surgery centers continue to thrive as a distinct model for the delivery of safe, affordable, and advanced surgical services to Minnesota’s health care consumers.

MNASCA supports our state ASC industry by providing multiple benefits, including:

  1. Strong advocacy with state policymakers and regulators. MNASCA represents the interests of Minnesota ASCs with the state legislature and key state agencies. Our advocacy helps ensure the concerns and needs of ASCs are heard and addressed by state decision-makers.
  2. Relevant and timely updates on important issues. The association provides members with timely, relevant updates on legislative and regulatory issues that may impact center operations via our website, weekly legislative reports, monthly member forums, and our online ASC community newsletter.
  3. Opportunities to learn and grow. MNASCA delivers an annual educational conference providing insights from industry experts to help ASCs stay up to date on important topics and trends that could affect your practice. We also keep our members informed on the latest issues impacting ASCs via our monthly member forums, bimonthly e-newsletters, and quarterly online education sessions.
  4. Key connections with ASC peers and business partners. We host member listservs and a spring networking event to connect ASC leaders with each other and Business Alliance members, generating valuable connections to support professional growth and development.
  5. Valuable member resources. MNASCA offers a rich library of learning materials on our website that are available when you need them. We also conduct a biannual salary survey and just launched two new member listservs members can ask questions and share resources.
  6. Access to member discounts. Association members enjoy a discounted registration fee for the fall annual conference and opportunities to earn continuing education credits at our free online quarterly educational sessions.

 about

Our Membership

MNASCA members share a common interest in promoting high-quality, value-driven outpatient surgical care. Our surgery centers vary in shape and size. They include single-specialty and multi-specialty ASCs which are physician-owned centers, hospital-owned centers, and partnerships. MNASCA supports members statewide from Brainerd to Bloomington, Duluth to Edina, Mankato to Maple Grove, St. Cloud to Stillwater, Virginia to Vadnais Heights, and Willmar to Wayzata. In addition, more than 300 ASC professionals from these centers engage in association communications, events, and advocacy activities. This diversity and engagement allows MNASCA to effectively represent the interests of a broad range of ASCs and support the success and sustainability of centers across Minnesota.

Testimonials
MNASCA is an invaluable resource for our organization, connecting us with other ASCs across
Minnesota and advocating on behalf of the industry at the state legislature. Through MNASCA, we
have developed and strengthened relationships with our legislators, visiting with them at the
yearly Day on the Hill and illustrating why ASCs are an integral part of the health care system.

          – Chris Zeigler, Senior Director of ASC Operations, Twins Cities Orthopedics

As a member of MNASCA, ASC leaders stay informed about key legislative issues that can impact operations and growth. The association provides us a strong, unified voice at the state capitol to proactively address proposed laws and policies to avoid downstream impacts to the delivery of patient care.
